A few miles south of Keswick stands the Lodore Hotel, a charming hotel overlooking Derwent Water. Behind the hotel is Lodore Falls, a stunning waterfall in which Watendlath Beck cascades over 100 feet down a steep valley side. The falls are best viewed after a period of heavy rainfall, when there is just a trickle of water it can be difficult to see amongst the large boulders.
